I confess- my first love, BOOKS,
My last and only love, BOOKS
&
I quote My beloved Kalam

"Great books ignite imagination, imagination leads to creativity, creativity blossoms thinking, thinking provides knowledge, knowledge makes you great,'' said former president APJ Abdul Kalam  while inaugurating the 11th National Book Fair at Moti Mahal Lawns here on Friday.  Urging parents to inculcate reading habit in children, Kalam said, "Every one of you should set up a home library. It's not necessary to have 100 books. Start with 10 books, and let your children convert it to 100 and grandchildren take it to 1,000 good books."

Book lovers, from the young to the old, left no stone unturned to catch a glimpse of Kalam, also known as country's Missile Man. Calling books a life long treasure and precious property, Kalam said, "Good books can transform human life and make life happier.''

The former president asked parents to
devote at least one hour during dinner to read out quality books to their children. Books shape the character which is governed by righteousness that lies in the heart, he said. This righteousness, he said, can only be created by a father, a mother in a spiritual environment and a primary school teacher. In the jam-packed lawns, Kalam asked children to have a great aim in life, acquire knowledge through good books, work hard and show perseverance in order to fulfill dreams.
