Expecting inventors to conduct patentability and do drafting is akin to self medication.------- having accessed invention disclosure the IP professional must explore all and every area where patent may be possible.You never know what the examiner is going to reject and what appeals to the examiner.Claim as wide as possible,even remote claims get patents. You cannot eliminate patent value of any proposition at the threshold  without thorough examination by the authorities finally. A proposition which did not get patented in territory A may be usefully patented in territory B. Never close the doors.
