Counsels arguing  their cases in courts can and should use a laptop to access and update a self maintained database of cases and precedents right in the court itself during their arguments and reply or while hearing the opponents and for taking notes.
At this time even in superior courts it may be perceived as a threat by some of the most reputed opposing counsels or seniors members o! bar or even bench

.Counsels must have self prepared their own a section-wise database using major authorities from Supreme Court and High Courts  which can be used to refer while citing support for a proposition  that they may argue or reply.

This should be done out of necessity and innovation.

Even government counsels, who do not have the necessary infrastructure  can do it and enhance their effectiveness. With a mobile internet doodle they can email the judgement if they have the permission of the court.
