From colonial explanations to We the people. Every thing that came to be injected in our mind ,learning and system from 1600 AD to 1950 was a view point with a set agenda. Those who set the agenda never had we the people of India in their mind and we were bare means, supply channel, and more an object and never a human being.
When our men realised this scenario, they ad a war in mind, politics in mind , only an agenda "to get rid of this " in mind.
From colonialism to empirical agenda. A shift for worse. A calculated destruction designed coolly that too at the hands of the mighty political power of the time and equally ambitious money-power of that time. That period ,1600 to 1900; the Adamsthian ruled. Colonialism was dream of Europe. Exploitation was being justified on various counts of Adamsthian philosophy. Later on this part of economic thought was resisted but in India it was not resisted for centuries. There was some sort of resistance on political lines by stray groups but then, that was still another version of Adamsthian approach. That was another form of colonialism within a limited territory. Basically all the forces acted against , We the People. People remained marginalised. Even bare human dignity was not accorded by the colonialists, both, the off-shore colonial forces and the local colonialists. Both had the same ambition and agenda. Both were not ready to concede anything to the common people. It was like aristocracy where either the king or king's man only mattered. Commoners were only means, to be ruled, to be subjected. They were not even heard, not even for courtesy.
Black were those days. No awareness.
When the people awoke, arose, knew, they only wanted to get rid of the arbitrariness and exploitation. For them at that point every thing that suited them and their view point was fair.
In this back drop came the Indian freedom struggle. Not very organised movement. Several groups similarly driven taking their own way. Most of the time none shared other. At times though all had one agenda still all competed against each other. At times all differed furiously. All groups had their own vision of self rule, participation, political power sharing, economic power sharing and political or economic freedom. A set wanted some space within the political and economic set up being developed by the imperialist forces. Some even supported them only for few loaves. Greed took over them . They were hired and were happy that they have been hired. They acted grossly against local interest only for paltry individual gains. There was no regard for law and norms either at this end or at that end. Each force wanted to grab, snatch or coerce. Misrepresentation became the political and economic culture. Each one was trying the other by hook or by crook. Undue influence became the social ,political and economic ideology -fulcrum. Deception was being practised freely by all concerned and none was ashamed for that. None had regards for values, norms. Every where it was sheer [politicking. Even education, books,, religion came to be used as tools of oppression, suppression, coercion, undue influence.
Language, culture, race, caste , custom, topography, geography, history , each and all were used during those days of tug of war between the colonialist greed and power on one side and on the other the locals who were not really organised though all had a sense of discomfort. Even those who colluded with the power were not very easy. A commotion prevailed. A mistrust prevailed. A furious tug of war went on. Values were dishonoured. Law was declared unlawful. There was confusion between might and right. Cunningness in all areas was accepted.
Perhaps in this situation the Britishers decided to leave. but by that time they had made a permanent impression on Locals in all areas. Local values , system, custom, language ,religion, economy, economic system, education system governance system all was having a Britishers of moghul impression. This impression was so permanent that it could not be reversed. Irreversible process had made its impact.
In this backdrop India gained freedom from the Britishers. Restoring the old system was neither possible nor advisable.
Britishers or other colonial forces had contributed immensely and now those really wise contributions could not be reversed.
